  1. This is definitely a step forward from Shine on Me, but not quite there. I'm just not a fan of polished Dan Auerbach. I'm not saying reinvent thickfreakness, but he has so much soul and I'm just not feeling it come across with this production. The chorus has danger mouse influence all over it. I can still hear the ball and chain of the exhausted alternative rock production style of 2013 dragging along the back end of this track.

  2. I hope that this is more like the full album than Shine On Me. I dig this a lot more. I'm probably still going to get it either way though, I just love Dan's music too much

  3. My father & I are both avid keys / Auerbach fans. I sent him a link to shine on me, and his response was "sounds like he's still waiting on a song" hahaha. But artists evolve & he's doing what he loves. This ones really cool. Much love & respect to Dan & Pat.
