Vox Sutra – Language as Last Refuge from the Uncertain Storms

Language has the power of the factitious, the human-constructed, which has the power to create illusions of permanence and certainty from their mere presence alone.

I can see during times of perceived great uncertainty that clinging to language and definitions would become increasingly more intense.

Those certainty blocks are crumbling, kids. This is one of the safe last refuges, standing on the certainty of the definitions and meanings and interpretations of words, ESPECIALLY words that claim certainty.

This isn’t the citadel, but we are now approaching the final ring of walls before we get to the citadel.
