In the mid 1800s, the US Government went to great lengths to shut down Lysander Spooner’s private post office. Turns out, Spooner’s business should have been left alone. They should have shut down their own boondoggle. Almost a century and a half later, after billions upon billions of dollars of debt, the post office may be coming to its final death rattle and yes, that’s fine with us.
