Researchers from the University of Copenhagen’s Niels Bohr Institute have developed a way to create quantum memory, a feat doubted as possible because of how such memory would require data to stay in the quantum state. In essence, the team theorizes creating mechanical memory for quantum data using quantum drums. Mads Bjerregaard Kristensen of the Niels Bohr Institute, lead author on the project, said of the breakthrough “This opens up great perspectives for the day when quantum computers can really do what we expect them to. Quantum memory is likely to be fundamental for sending quantum information over distances. So, what we’ve developed is a crucial piece in the very foundation for an internet of the future with quantum speed and quantum security.” Excerpt from www.futurity.org Researchers have developed a new way to create quantum memory: A small drum can store data sent with light in its sonic vibrations, and then forward the data with new light sources when needed again. The results demonstrate that mechanical memory for quantum data could be the strategy that paves the way for an ultra-secure internet with incredible speeds.
The U.S. Homeland Security Secretary, Far-Left Anti-American activist Alejandro Mayorkas, is now officially impeached after the U.S. House’s GOP leadership filed their articles of Impeachment with the U.S. Senate. The move is being seen by many as an empty gesture given the promise by the Senate’s DNC leadership to table these articles and let the die without being processed. Given the nature of the fecklessness of GOP leadership in the Senate, there’s no real reason to believe the Dems will fail to deliver on their tabling promise. Excerpt from www.dailymail.co.uk .. Mayorkas arrived just before 10:00 a.m. for a hearing before the House Homeland Security Committee on why his agency requires $108 billion in funding for the 2025 fiscal year, House Republicans will be readying the articles for delivery to the Senate. ‘You abolished working policies, and following the statements of your boss on his campaign trial—promises to improperly grant asylum to anyone who came,’ Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., said in his opening remarks. ‘As a result, people from all over the world tested the system, came and were released, phoned home, and the mass waves began.’
Human Rights Watch is alleging that the Myanmar Junta are now kidnapping Rohingya men and boys and dragging them in to the military, to be used on the front lines as little more than cannon fodder for their mission. The Asia researcher at Human Rights Watch, Shayna Bauchner, said “It’s appalling to see Myanmar’s military, which has committed atrocities against the Rohingya for decades while denying them citizenship, now forcing them to fight on its behalf. The junta should immediately end this forced recruitment and permit Rohingya unlawfully conscripted to return home.” Excerpt from Human Rights Watch The Myanmar military has abducted and forcibly recruited more than 1,000 Rohingya Muslim men and boys from across Rakhine State since February 2024, Human Rights Watch said today. The junta is using a conscription law that only applies to Myanmar citizens, although the Rohingya have long been denied citizenship under the 1982 Citizenship Law. Rohingya described being picked up in nighttime raids, coerced with false promises of citizenship, and threatened with arrest, abduction, and beatings. The military has been sending Rohingya to abusive training for two weeks, then deploying them. Many have been sent to the front lines in the surging fighting between the junta and the Arakan Army armed group, which broke out in Rakhine State in November 2023, and a number have been killed and injured. “It’s appalling to see Myanmar’s military, which has committed atrocities against the Rohingya for decades while denying them citizenship, now forcing them to fight on its behalf,” said Shayna Bauchner, Asia researcher at Human Rights Watch. “The junta should immediately end this forced recruitment and permit Rohingya unlawfully conscripted to return home.” Human Rights Watch documented 11 cases of forced recruitment, drawing on interviews with 25 Rohingya from Sittwe, Maungdaw, Buthidaung, Pauktaw, and Kyauktaw townships in Rakhine State and in Bangladesh.
It seems Alejandro Mayorkas, the now-impeached U.S. Homeland Security Secretary, is working with organizations connected directly to George Soros’ Open Society to aid in the importing of illegal aliens who are being recruited, before they even get to America, to vote for Joe Biden in the 2024 election. The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has found documents being circulated in foreign countries, written in Spanish for their targeted audience, which shows future illegal aliens how to make sure they vote for Joe Biden when they come here illegally. The fliers say things like “Reminder to vote for President Biden when you are in the United States. We need another four years of his term to stay open.” Excerpt from amgreatness.com A non-governmental organization (NGO) tied to U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has been caught distributing fliers to illegal aliens urging them to vote for Joe Biden. The shocking fliers, posted on the walls of portable toilets and handed out to migrants at the Resource Center Matamoros (RCM) in Matamoros, Mexico, were discovered by independent journalist Muckraker, and shared with the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project. Translated from Spanish, the fliers read: “Reminder to vote for President Biden when you are in the United States. We need another four years of his term to stay open.” … Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who recently was impeached by the House for not enforcing border laws, is a former board member of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), which has reportedly received numerous grants from the Open Society Foundation over the years.
A major conservative conference that gathered, in part, to highlight the totalitarian intolerance of the woke ideologies now dominating leftist factions, was shut down by a woke Mayor, the Mayor of Brussels, where the conference took place. The Mayor claimed he did so over “safety” concerns, those concerns being the fear that ideas freely expressed would undermine their own truth claims that give them the power to control the lives of their neighbors. One of the attendees, Nigel Farage, the man credited with making Britain’s exit from the EU happen (Brexit), said of the shutdown, “This is what we are up against. We are up against an evil ideology. We are up against a new form of communism. This is like the old Soviet Union. No alternative view allowed.” Excerpt from www.nytimes.com A mayor in Brussels on Tuesday sent police officers to break up a gathering of prominent, self-described “anti-woke” conservatives from across Europe, including Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, declaring “the far right is not welcome” before the authorities quickly retreated. Emir Kir, the Socialist Party mayor of the central Brussels neighborhood where the gathering took place, issued the order to close the National Conservatism Conference on grounds of “public safety.” But critics said that Mr. Kir’s order only amplified one of the gathering’s main themes: that cancel culture targeting conservative voices has run amok. “This is what we are up against. We are up against an evil ideology. We are up against a new form of communism,” declared Nigel Farage of Britain. Mr. Farage, a former member of the European Parliament and a champion of national sovereignty, who helped drive his country’s exit from the European Union, was getting ready to speak when the authorities arrived. “This is like the old Soviet Union. No alternative view allowed,” he said.
15 State Attorney Generals, all of them Republicans, have sent a letter to the Bank of America asking it to address charges it is cancelling bank accounts based on political and religious belief alone. It is the first step before potential charges could be filed by these AGs should BofA not answer their concerns and stop the illegal action if they are, in fact engaging in it. Alliance for Defending Freedom, who has been the victim of this de-banking effort by BofA, celebrated the letter, stating through their Senior Counsel, Jeremy Tedesco “We commend Attorney General Kobach and his colleagues for taking bold, appropriate action to put customers first and hold Bank of America accountable on these crucial issues. Unfortunately, megabanks like Bank of America have shown a disturbing pattern of de-banking people for their religious or political views. Bank of America needs to rebuild trust with its shareholders and customers. The American public deserves to know basic information about its policies and practices to ensure everyone receives equal treatment regardless of their political or religious views.” Excerpt from adfmedia.org WASHINGTON – In a letter sent Monday to Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, 15 state attorneys general, led by Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, called on the head of the megabank to address and curb its disturbing pattern of discrimination and politicized de-banking. The letter also calls upon Bank of America to participate in the survey portion of Alliance Defending Freedom’s Viewpoint Diversity Score Business Index. In 2023, Bank of America relied on a vague “risk tolerance” policy to close without explanation the account of ADF’s client Indigenous Advance, a Tennessee-based Christian charity, along with accounts belonging to an associated LLC and a supporting church. Bank of America has de-banked others in recent years for similarly vague reasons. And just last month, the U.S. House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government singled out Bank of America for voluntarily handing over confidential customer information to government agencies without a warrant and without notifying its customers. Government agencies had flagged ADF and other mainstream religious and conservative organizations as “domestic terrorist” threats, urging major banks to disclose private transactions involving keywords like “Cabela’s,” “Dick’s Sporting Goods,” and “religious texts.”
From Freedomist.com IRAN ATTACK MIGHT NOT BE THE DUD YOU THINK IT IS – If you read most media outlets, be they MSM or “independent,” you will mostly hear the attacks on Israel by Iran were a big dud, and that might not be the full story. Iran has done two successful things; they breached the highest level of air security Israel and the U.S. could offer and they cost Israel over $1 billion.
Amit Privayadan Mehta, a U.S. District Court Judge in D.C. who is regularly pronouncing draconian sentences against January 6 protesters is now moving to protect Media Matters against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who wants to investigate the Democrat Campaign firm for illegally taking grants intended for non-partisan, non-profit groups. The quisling judge issued an order to block Paxton from continuing his investigation into Media Matters, triggering an approving response from Media Matters. DNC campaign outlets like Rolling Stone are only including Media Matters’ response to the ruling, while coloring Paxton as an extremist rogue who is violating the First Amendment rights of the press. Excerpt from nz.news.yahoo.com A judge on Friday moved to halt an investigation by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) into the liberal watchdog journalism organization Media Matters, issuing a preliminary injunction in the case. Calling Media Matters a “radical left-wing” and “anti-free speech organization,” Paxton claimed to be investigating “potential fraudulent activity” by the group under Texas’ Deceptive Trade Practices Act, in response to its reporting about X — the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Media Matters President and CEO Angelo Carusone said in a statement on Friday evening that X owner Elon Musk had “encouraged Republican state attorneys general to use their power to harass their critics and stifle reporting about X,” adding: “Ken Paxton was one of those AGs that took up the call and he was defeated. Today’s decision is a victory for free speech.”
It turns out the Biden plan to fund TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) to the tune of $6.6 billion could be just another Democrat Party kickback. The President of the firm, Brian Harrison, is the same man who helmed the solar energy company Solyndra, the same company that received $500 million in loans from the Obama administration just before the company went bankrupt. It should be noted that an inspector general said of the Solyndra failure that the “actions of certain Solyndra officials were, at best, reckless and irresponsible or, at worst, an orchestrated effort to knowingly and intentionally deceive and mislead the Department [of Energy].” Excerpt from thenationalpulse.com The Biden government announced it will grant $6.6 billion to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) Arizona subsidiary. The firm’s president, Brian Harrison, is the former chief executive of Solyndra, a solar energy company that took $500 million in government loans from the Obama government before collapsing. In addition, the subsidy raises national security concerns as TSMC continues to source some equipment used in semiconductor fabrication from mainland China. Harrison acknowledged appealing for federal funding for the semiconductor firm last year. The cash infusion is part of the CHIPS and Science Act, aimed at advancing domestic chip manufacturing and countering China’s hold over the industry. In October last year, the Biden government issued a sanctions waiver allowing several chip makers to purchase critical technology from suppliers located in mainland China, despite concerns the equipment could be compromised by Chinese Communist intelligence. TSMC and Samsung — who agreed to construct semiconductor facilities in the United States — received waivers.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida used his time spent to address the joint chambers of the U.S. congress to announce to the world that Japan’s relationship with the U.S. has changed, from being a support system for American-led defense to being a co-equal working in shared partnership for a common defense. The Prime Minister declared “I’m here to say that Japan is already standing shoulder to shoulder with the United States. You are not alone. We are with you. The Japanese people are fully committed to these values. I do not want to leave our children a society where human rights were oppressed, where political self-determination is denied, where our lives are monitored by digital technology. I know you don’t either,” Excerpt from www.cbn.com WASHINGTON – Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida was in Washington, D.C. this week discussing security concerns in his part of the world. In an address before a joint session of Congress, Kishida stressed that Japan is now not only a defense ally of the U.S. but also a global partner, ready to take on a greater role in international affairs. “I’m here to say that Japan is already standing shoulder to shoulder with the United States. You are not alone. We are with you,” Prime Minister Kishida said.
Researchers from Australia have used lasers and metal powder to create a new super material, a “metamaterial” that is stronger than anything you can find in nature. Ma Qian, a lead researcher on the project, conducted out of RMIT University, said “We designed a hollow tubular lattice structure that has a thin band running inside it. These two elements together show strength and lightness never before seen together in nature. By effectively merging two complementary lattice structures to evenly distribute stress, we avoid the weak points where stress normally concentrates.” Excerpt from www.freethink.com Using lasers and metal powder, Australian scientists have created a super strong, super lightweight new “metamaterial” — but they got the idea for this sci fi-sounding creation from plants. … What they’ve been able to create so far using available manufacturing techniques have fallen short, though — an uneven distribution of load stress is a major reason these synthetic materials don’t turn out as strong as their natural counterparts.
China’s own numbers show the Totalitarian state is facing a significant economic downturn. The Communist state released data that shows exports have fallen 7.5 percent from last year and imports have fallen 1.9 percent during that same time period. This follows news that Ratings agency Fitch cut its outlook on China’s sovereign credit rating to “negative” in April 10 of this year. Excerpt from www.businesstoday.in China’s March exports fell 7.5 percent year-on-year (YoY), while imports unexpectedly shrank 1.9 percent, both undershooting market forecasts by large margins, customs data showed on April 12, according to a Reuters report. The latest figures highlight the tough task for policymakers as they try to bolster a shaky economic recovery. Exports from the world’s second-largest economy shrank 7.5 percent in dollar terms in March from a year earlier, while imports fell 1.9 percent leaving a trade surplus of $58.55 billion for the month. Economists had forecast that exports would fall 1.9 percent while imports would rise 1 percent.
After Oregon made assisted suicide legal in 1998, the number of people yearly that have committed suicide through the program has consistently increased. But this year, the amount of people committing “legal” suicide jumped by 32 percent over last year’s numbers, with 278 committing suicide “legally” in 2023. Of the people that have committed suicide in 2023, almost half, 43.3 percent, chose suicide because they did not want to be a burden on their family, friends, and/or caregivers while 8.2 percent chose suicide because of the “financial implications of treatment.” Excerpt from www.lifenews.com The state of Oregon had the highest number of assisted suicides in 2023 since the practice began in 1998. The latest annual assisted suicide report ‘Oregon Death with Dignity Act: 2023 Data Summary’, released last month, has revealed a total of 367 people ended their lives by assisted suicide in 2023 in Oregon. This figure represents a 32% increase in deaths by assisted suicide from 278 in the previous year. Among the end-of-life concerns listed by those who ended their lives, almost half (43.3%) of those who ended their lives reported being concerned about being a “[b]urden on family, friends/caregivers”, and 8.2% said they were concerned about the “[f]inancial implications of treatment”. 88.3% said they were concerned about reduced ability “to engage in activities making life enjoyable”, 91.6% mentioned concerns about “losing autonomy”, and 63.8% of those who ended their lives in this way, said they were concerned about loss of dignity.
Citigroup has announced plans to cut more than 20,000 jobs after what it described as a “clearly disappointing” fourth quarter that saw the company lost $1.8 billion. Citi’s overall revenue fell year-over-year by more than 3 percent while revenue from markets dropped 19 percent year-over-year to $3.4 billion. Excerpt from ca.news.yahoo.com Citigroup said it would cut 20,000 jobs over the next two years, acknowledging a “clearly disappointing” quarter marred by one-off charges that resulted in a $1.8 billion loss. Shares of the bank – which is in the middle of a multi-year effort to cut bureaucracy, increase profits and boost a stock that has lagged peers – are up more than 1%. “The fourth quarter was very clearly disappointing,” CEO Jane Fraser told analysts. “We know that 2024 is critical.” The lender will reduce its global workforce of 239,000 by 20,000 – or roughly 8% of staff – through 2026, including layoffs from the sweeping reorganization, Chief Financial Officer Mark Mason told reporters. Citi will also no longer count 40,000 jobs when it spins off and lists its Mexican consumer unit Banamex in an eventual initial public offering, eventually aiming to reach a staffing level of 180,000 employees, Mason said.
California’s efforts to pass a bill that will force social media companies to pay news publishers to share their links online is meeting with resistance from Google, who has announced plans to block news links from certain California residents to give the state a taste for the consequences should the bill pass. Google’s Vice President for Global News Partnerships, Jaffer Zaidi, said of the move, “We have long said that this is the wrong approach to supporting journalism.” He said the passage fo the bill will “result in significant changes to the services we can offer Californians and the traffic we can provide to California publishers.” Excerpt from www.politico.com Californians may find their Google results bereft of local news links Friday morning as the search giant escalates its fight against a landmark state bill aimed at forcing tech giants to pay online publishers. Google is temporarily blocking California-based news outlets’ content for some state residents, reprising a political tactic the tech industry has repeatedly used to try to derail such bills in places like Canada and Australia that require online platforms to pay journalism outlets for articles featured on their websites.
The FBI has announced it has opened up a criminal investigation into the Francis Scott Key bridge disaster. According to an anonymous insider cited by ABC News, the investigation is centering around whether all the safety protocols were followed by the bridge authorities as well as the crew onboard the cargo ship that destroyed the bridge, the Dali. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said the city “will take decisive action to hold responsible all entities accountable for the Key Bridge tragedy, including the owner, charterer, manager/operator, and the manufacturer of the M/V Dali, as well as any other potentially liable third parties.” Excerpt from abcnews.go.com The FBI is conducting a criminal investigation into the deadly collapse of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge that is focused on the circumstances leading up to it and whether all federal laws were followed, according to someone familiar with the matter. The person was not authorized to discuss details of the investigation publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity to The Associated Press. The FBI was aboard the cargo ship Dali conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity, the agency said in a statement Monday. It didn’t elaborate and said it wouldn’t comment further on the investigation, which was first reported by The Washington Post. Meanwhile, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott on Monday announced a partnership with two law firms to “launch legal action to hold the wrongdoers responsible” and mitigate harm to city residents.
The Ukraine parliament has passed a new law that changes the terms of military service. Before the new law, compulsory service was limited to three years, now the terms are indefinite, meaning once you are signed up you are compelled to serve until the military releases you. One serviceman, Artem Osipyan, a former psychologist, might represent the overall sentiment of many other service members, writing on Facebook “Knowingly and voluntarily, I will become part of the most depraved category of citizens in my own country. Who will I be next? Do I have to always remain a serviceman? Has my life been that insignificant? What makes other people’s lives more meaningful and less worthy of sacrifice than mine?” Excerpt from www.aljazeera.com Kyiv, Ukraine – After almost two years of military service on the front lines of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Alina’s husband is “enraged” about the new mobilisation law. Ukraine’s parliament dopted the law on Thursday after months of debates and almost 4,300 revisions. Alina said her husband, who requested anonymity, and brothers-in-arms are dumbfounded by the scrapping of service limits. Earlier versions of the law had envisaged demobilisation after 36 months of service. Without the limits – and with the failure of last year’s counteroffensive and months-long delays of Western military aid – they realise that their service may only end with their disability or death.
A popular Bishop on YouTube, Bishop H.G. Mar Mari Emmanuel, was stabbed multiple times during a livestreamed church service in preparation of Palm Sunday. The service was held at the Christ the Good Shephard Church, in Sydney Australia, which is an Assyrian Orthodox Church. The suspect appears to have been a radical Islamo-Fascist. It follows another stabbing in a Sydney mall just a week prior to this incident. There were multiple victims, including a priest, with the Bishop suffering the most harm. All of the injuries are non-life threatening. The Bishop is listed in stable conditions. He remains in the hospital for treatment. The stabbing has set off a round of protests, some of which have turned violent, with the protestors blaming the Australian police for not doing enough to halt the rising violence coming from the Islamic community in their country. Excerpt from www.cbn.com Horrified worshipers watched online and in person as a bishop was stabbed at the altar during a church service in Sydney on Sunday evening, and three others were stabbed as people rushed to help. Police said there were no life-threatening wounds, and a man was arrested. Hundreds of angry people hurried to the Orthodox Assyrian church and some clashed with riot police, with vehicles damaged. The church and local leaders pleaded for calm. “A large police response is underway and the public is urged to avoid the area,” police said… The church in a message on social media said the bishop and a senior priest, Isaac Royel, were in stable condition at a hospital and asked for people’s prayers. “It is the bishop’s and father’s wishes that you also pray for the perpetrator,” the church’s statement said. “We also kindly ask anyone at the church premises to leave in peace.” Excerpt from americanmilitarynews.com A Christian bishop and three other individuals were reportedly injured in a stabbing incident at an Australian church on Monday, resulting in a major protest in a suburb of Sydney. According to Australia’s Sky News, Bishop H.G. Mar Mari Emmanuel is believed to have been stabbed during a livestreamed service at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in the western Sydney suburb of Wakeley at roughly 7:15 p.m. (local time) on Monday. The swarm of people congregated outside the church can be seen attempting to push past riot police, throwing projectiles, and chanting “cut off his fingers”… Police officers battled to push back the crowds with their riot shields late into the night, with further footage appearing to show bricks and bottles being hurled at the cops. It has been reported that several police vehicles had their windows smashed. A police officer told local media: “The crowd was attacking us, throwing things and being aggressive as we tried to help their bishop. I said to them ‘we are not your enemy’.” It comes after a teenager dressed in black attacked Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel being attacked during a Mass at a church in Wakeley.
